recent makes
Hi fellow bloggers
I hope 2017 is ok for you so far?
I haven't posted any rojects so far as my camera and laptop stoed communicating with each other!!
It has been really frustrating but hope I have managed to sort it by scanning the cards with my printer - had a light bulb moment! - although missed my challenge dates.
So here are a few fast and simple cards I have made mainly with diecuts as been playing with some dies I refound during my ongoing reorganisation and a couple I got in the sizzix uk sale.
First pic is using a sizzix card die and water colour paper, I used some spray inks[ glimmer mists] from my stash on the watercolour paper and then diecut the image out and adhered to a craft card background and distress inked, with shabby shutters, the the craft card to blend in with the diecut. Aslso cut out the sentiment with the same background piece and adhered to a sellbinders die cut from their card builder set a.
Next card is one I made for the LessisMore challenge for dimension but as above missed the cut off date! thos too uses a sizzix die which I have had for a number of years so not sure it is still available but I thought it was a fun image. The die cut is the pea pod and baby faces. It is attached to a punched iamge from a martha stewart edge punch. The sentiment is hand written.
Nearly finished! This card is a valentine's card again using sizzix dies - 2 of Tim Holtz's and a thinlit heart.- The key was cut from another thinlits set - New Home.
The scribbled heart was made by diecutting it from foam and then using it as a stamp with versamark and embossed with gold powder. The heart, wings and key were mounted into a background embossed with a text folder [ think it is by cricut].
This final pic is pf 4 batch christmas cards from a set of 10 made using a sizzix card die - using just the die cut on a background - really quick and easy as a fund raiser and a good way to use up christmas papers - also as I found that they were popular in 2016 am getting a headstart.
As I said all quick and simple but doing quick makes in between rerganising keeps me going!!

LiM - One Layer - Outline
Hi fellow bloggers
This is not my time of year, the short, grey, cold days do not help me feel creative. But back to the LiM challenge for this week which is one layer and the theme is on outlines.
http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk/2016/12/challenge-306-one-layer.html
I have gone for a monochrome look using versamark black pigment ink and my Scorit.

LiM colour challenge using primary colours
Hi again fellow bloggers here is my entry for the above - nice and simple CAS. The picture doesn't quite show the embossed lline down the side of the spotty border. For this card I used some Kuretake dot pens - I have uncovered such a lot of things I forgot I had - in primary colours to make the dotty border and to cover the diecut sentiment. Clear gems were added to the blue dots in the border and the embossed border was made with my Scorit tool,
I used a Picasa effect to to give a blue background and polaroid effect.
