LiM 69

Hi fellow bloggers - my entry is a bit late this week but after a false start finally got it finished. We had to make a card that wasn't either a square or a rectangle so I have gone for a cupcake using a sizzix die to make the card and the insert to match. I used promarkers to add some colour and some gems coloured with the promarkers for decoration. Once I had finished I thought of an easier way to get the same outcome so lesson learnt for next time.

shambala like bracelet

hi fellow bloggers

I have tried making a shambala style bracelet with some of the gemstones [faceted fire agate] I have bought from JM. Here is the result: - I quite like this macrame technique and am going to have a go with some different gemstones - I have ordered some fresh water pearls so will post next week if they look ok. I have worn this one as I wear quite a bit of brown and the sliding knot is such an easy mechanism for adjusting the size.

happy Saturday crafting

The base card and mat for thr sentiment were edged with the promatker too

 I used:

  • cuttlebug swiss dors folder
  • promarkers
  • brilliance ink

  • cuttlebug slphabet dies
  • centura pearl card

LiM - 67

Hi fellow bloggers - here is my entry for this weeks LiM challenge. I have used a set of stamps I bought to add to some of my grandson's scrapbook pages as he is into his music in quite a big way and is good or is that just a granny speaking lol!
I have used
  • 3 stamps from a set  from Blade rubber stamps some time ago.
  • black archival ink
  • scor it to emboss 5 lines underneath to represent a music score blank - couldn't add any notes as my quota of stamps was used up

Saturday crafting

hi fellow bloggers - can't believe my eyes today as it is actually sunny lol! Anyway took time to finish a card started for my friend as she has been having a bad time. So reminding her that she has support.

I had some of the card left over from the gift bag in my last post so using spellbinders labels cut out 2 different sizes and embossed them with a sissix embossing folder with flowers that match the flowers on the strip of K&Co paper.  I used another sizzix folder with the sentiment and inked with gold brilliance ink pad. The sentiment and large shape were adhered with sticky pads to give some depth and then I found chartreuse coloured gems for the centre of the smaller shapes. The base card is centura pearl again as it is so lovely with a gorgeous sheen.

LiM 66

Hi fellow bloggers - another Saturday and a new LiM challenge. This time we have  to use the colour yellow.
I have used the negative of a spellbinders shape which resembles a flower and using sticky pads of different depths placed on top of a piece of lemon yellow card. I used a spellbinders square die to cut both to size then mounted on to a card blank that was edged with swiss dots. The flower centre is a black glitter dot. The sentiment is mounted on the same colour yellow card. Items used: -
  • centura pearl white card
  • lemon yellow pearl card
  • anitas sticky glitter dot
  • anitas black peel off
  • swiss dots edge embossing folder
  • spellbinders squares, diamonds and snowflake pendant

Inspiration from Sue Wilson

Hi again - my second card this morning is one that I took some inspiration from how Sue used new Spellbinders dies on the C&C shows she has been on this weekend. I rarely do cards in Sue's style but I liked how she used a flower day in one of her demos.
Although I don't have the same die it gave me an idea for one that I do have from a shapeabilities set I gotat the SECC. I have also gone for a bright colour scheme as it is May Day!

I have used:
  • Lime green and bright pink bazill [I just love this card]
  • pearl card candi
  • Martha Stewart punch
  • dots and stripes ribbon from a set I got from QVC
  • spell binders flourish from ornate artisan accents and flourish set
  • spellbinders flower from snowflake pendant set

Sizzix Hello Kitty embosslit

Good Morning fellow blogger  happy May day- the rain is away - can I hope that today will at least be dry and bright!!?
As I said yesterday I am uploading a couple of cards this morning as i didn't get crafting at the weekend.. Here is a card I made from a Sizzix embosslit I found in my crafty stash - it is ages since I used this and thought it was about time I did lol [along with other stash items]! This started being my entry for this weeks LiM but decided it was too big an image to fit with the recipe they gave.
I have used:
  • Hello Kittly embosslit
  • pink bazill
  • white centura pearl
  • kanban black card
  • spotty organza ribbon
  • odd pens for flower doodles and sentiment
