challenge

Hi fellow bloggers - where does the time go? Hope you are all well and finding time to craft. I have finally managed to get a card done for this week. We had to use a sketch this week's  LiM challenge   and here is my interpretation as I am sending this card to a friend who lives many miles away. I am also entering this for the Sweet Stampin challenge - "anything but a birthday"

I have used:
  • Leilani stamp from me and my big ideas - it makes me think of sunnier/warmer places!
  • memento black ink
  • promarkers
  • spellbinders odd dies
  • bazill bling lime - reverse side because the colour is more vibrant
  • K&Co mat pad - monochrome
  • odd stamp for sentiment
  • gems

new technique for me

Hi fellow bloggers
unfortunately life and work have got in the way of crafting this past few days. However my friend has her birthday this Friday so I decided to make her a bracelet and put it in a posh box!!. I got the gems and cords from Jewellerymaker.com and the button from my button box - hope she likes it.

Hopefully I can get back to cards and things by the weekend. Hope you are all well.

Lime & Green again

This is definitely a great colour mix - I am entering it for the LiM challenge as my third entry of the week

[The mark is on the camera screen - oops!]

This time I have used a plain black oblong with rounded corners to underlay the Martha Stewart punched border and then used a Creata heart frame on top with a love sentiment inside the bottom of the heart. The other touch is 2 black card candi
at either end of floral strip.

LiM 114 - 2nd entry Lime and Green [not vodka and lime!!]

Hi again fellow bloggers
Monday again and back to work but here is my second version of a Lime and Green thank-you card.
This time - using the same card - I cut out an image with one of my new Dlites by spellbinders in Lime Bazill and overlaid the fancy image on a black background. The sentiment was stamped in Brilliance white ink on black and edged with white. Both images were then layered over lime green patterned ribbon.

LiM114

HI Fellow bloggers - hope you are having a good weekend. Sadly here it is still very cold - only 3degrees - brrr! and we had snow falling again this afternoon - I so wish the spring would arrive.
Still crafting weather so not all bad Lol!
This week the LiM challenge was to use Lime and Black for the colour scheme.
I really like this colour scheme and am using it for a couple more cards.
I have made one of my ever popular thank-you cards as I always seem to need them.
I have used plain black card and the reverse of bazill bling in lime.
The centre strips are made using a Martha Stewart punch. I have punched out two black strips and slightly overlapped them and then placed a lime green punched strip on top in the centre.

The sentiment is a watermark embossed in clear as I thought it would make a nice effect but I think it looks better in real life rather than on the photo.

Cars!

Hi fellow bloggers - Easter Monday already and back to work tomorrow. having been under the weather for a while it will be good to get back to business as usual.
Hope you all had a pleasant Easter break.

This card was a quick one for a friend who wanted a male card with a car. I added ink from a grey shadow pad by hero arts and peacock feathers distress ink by ranger direct to card through a stencil. Then stamped the car in Smokey Grey Stazon and edged the die cut with peacock blue. All the dies used were spelllbinders. I used a stamp from a set by Joanna Sheen to add tyre marks as I think this male would have liked to be a bit of a boy racer if he had the chance!

LiM 113

Hi fellow bloggers hope you are having a good Easter. I have been eating quite a bit of cake - shame to let it go to waste Lol! Still time for some crafting and this week's LiM is to use scallops.

I have used a scalloped edge base card and then added octagon spellbinders  - [one plain and one scalloped] layered in an offset way  and then offset on  a toning ribbon and then added 3 gems toning  with the stamped image.

LiM 112

Hi fellow bloggers
Hope you are having a good weekend.
I have been making some jewellery bits this week -about time really Lol!
Anyway back to this weeks LiM challenge - to use beads - this isn't something I would do on a card so was a bit of a task to think what to do,
Anyway I came up with this design.
I used: -
apple green vellum layered twice
spellbinders heart circles
wire and seed beads
cocoa memento
odd sentiment stamp
crafters companion glitter spray for a bit of bling

Letter card

Hi fellow bloggers - I have so much crafting to catch up on!!
I made a letter card for a friend this time as I had some news to share and thought this would be a nice way to do it.

I used cream card for a more vintage look as I had stamped and triple embossed the image [old free stamp from craft stamper magazine] to give a more aged look without too much distressing. It was matted onto moss green lattice frame from spellbinders and then I used the card builder set to make additional mats. The image was coloured in before being embossed. The pale cream ribbon [from paper chase] and caramel ribbon [from Mei flower crafts] finished off the framed image.

LIM 111 - frame it

Hi fellow bloggers - glad to be back as have had one lurgy after another for a few weeks and now hope I have shaken them all off!

The LiM challenge this week is to frame your focal point and as I have a friend who loves cats have made one to send her.

I cut out a frame with a sizzix embosslit and then stamped on the frame with cat paw prints from a set I got some years ago from Lakeland. I then stamped a cat on a blue plastic material and cut it out with a spellbinders oval and stuck inside the card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Used:
  • Memento black ink for paws and sentiment
  • stazon smokey grey for cat
  • spellbinders lacey ovals
  • lakeland catitude stamp set

LiM 107

Hi fellow bloggers - hope you have had a lovely weekend. I thought I would get some crafting done but only managed a LiM entry - where does the time go?

The theme this week is "Up in the air" and is to feature something that flies. I tried using a kite die but it just wouldn't work for me so had bought these stamps from creative expressions for my son's scrapbook and thought the balloon would work. I kiss stamped two in Stazon straight on the card and then stamped the third on coloured card. The sentiment is from a different set. The sentiment and the coloured balloon are raised and the card is edge tinted with  dove grey stazon.
As I have to scan entries at the mo due to computer not liking my camera it does look a bit flat.
I have used: -
  • Creative Expressions stamps - Vintage travel set
  • Stazon Stone Grey and Dove Grey
  • Orphan sentiment stamp

LiM - One layer

Good morning fellow bloggers - crafting time a bit short lately as my job has changed drastically and trying to catch up with it! - although cheated a bit last week by scheduling 3 posts so it looked as though I had made something each of the days Lol! Anyway finally got round to the latest LiM challenge.
The theme this week is one layer and music. I had recently bought these stamps from Joanna Sheen for a scrapbooking project for a friend and thought they would fit the bill.

I have used: -
  • craftworks card base
  • 2 of the Joanna Sheen "Groovy baby" stamps
  • orphan sentiment stamp
  • crimson brilliance inkpad
  • black archival inkpad
  • brown watercolour pencil
  • crafters companion spray and sparkle silver
  • scor it board

catching up with birthdays

Hi fellow bloggers - I am trying not to be late with birthday cards this year and have made a male card for a cousin using some of my paper stash! - this is my resolution for 2013 [again] but am really going to try and stick to it.
I have used craft card for the base and added a spellbinders scalloped label under the pocket and also matted the tag onto card for strength. no's on the tag were cut using Sizzix bubble alpha set and I used plain twine on the card and the tag..

LiM - 2nd birthday

Hi fellow bloggers - am back with a LiM entry to celebrate their 2nd birthday. As I am a bit out of practice have kept it as CAS as I can!. The theme this week is coffee and Crema so I have used a Kraft Card, cream bazill,  and off white wax paper to add dimension and movement to the butterfly. The butterfly was cut using a spellbinders die and the hearts are waste from another die cut tinged with a mocha ink pad.

Back in blogland! with Sizzix

Hi fellow bloggers - it is good to be back and I will visit you this week - so sorry for long absence.
I won a set of Sizzix framelit dies from Loredana Bucaria - one of their European bloggers - http://www.sizzix.co.uk/blogs?id=4f4530d302f399494100004c. I had forgotten about this and so it was a fab surprise when it popped through the door. I used them to try out for these flowers I have made for a scrapbook page with bazill cardstock and embossed the flowers with an embossing folder also from Sizzix from my stash.
