SAY NO TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Another Friday

Have begun the scrapbook I am going to make for my grandson who turns 18 this year  -my neighbour is doing one for her grandaughter so we got together on Thursday night and made a start. Or rather I made a start as she has been more productive than me!! Still 2 pages done and more pixs printed off for next week. It is good to have a scrap buddy again since my crop ceased to run.

I have been looking at some of the videos from CHA 2010 and caught sight of the new Tim Holtz products. Really looking forward to getting the sissix dies he has designed - they are great.

It has turned really cold again brrrr!!!!  I am currently waiting for my new cricut cartridge from Custom Crops so hopefully they will soon arrive although one is back ordered so maybe a while

People Trafficking

You will see above I have added another banner  - please think about it as the misery that some people and children suffer at the hands of traffickers needs us to do something. I am having to produce an exhibition to raise local  awareness of the issues involved and although my work is not craft oriented I have been able with the help of a colleague to bring my craft into my work for this. Once it is complete I will take photos and post on the blog.

where has my bonny blog background gone??

Not sure what I have done but my blog background has disappeared so back to a more plain view - will need to see what I have done and get it all pretty again - new challenge!!

good news and bad - yin and yan!

Hi again - well as the title says I have good news - my sissix sale dies arrived - or rather half of them did - but they are lovely and I am glad they have arrived. However need to buy an extended crease pad to use with 2 of them so order in to cutting edge crafts and hope it is soon here. &
Bad news is that the scrapbooking crop I have been going to has ceased as the co-ordinator is unable to continue. It is very sad as I really looked forward to it each month and there is nothing else locally. Still I have a scrapbook to do for my grandson this year so will have to continue on my own. I will miss the encouragement of my fellow crop members though as they were always so helpful with comments and suggestions.

I am also looking forward to when the new Tim Holtz sissix dies are launched as the preview looks fab - so I'd better get saving!!

Back Again

Wow what a week - work has been really hectic and left no time for crafting! Still now the weekend is here and some me time is due. Have lots to play with too as I recieved my new sissix dies today and need to try them out.

Also now organised for the craty meet that is taking place in Dundee next month - new people to meet and a fun day I am sure.

Sunday 10 January 2010

well back to the day job tomorrow so making the most of my day off - I must make a thankyou card tough for my colleague and will try to upload it as that is my next challenge. I really like how the blog is looking just now.

Challenge met!!

Hey hey  - managed to find out how to make some alterations to my blog - hope you like it as I do - I'll have to see what else I can find. Need to discover how to show my crafty items but that can wait for another day.

Happy New Year

Hope you all had a good christmas and new year break. I;m hoping tis year will be better as I haven;t been in a good place for a whild.

I have spent today sorting out photos for my next scrapbook, My grandson turns 18 later this year and I am doing a scrapbook for his birthday.

Also got to grip with the cricut eventually and now enjoying playing with it + bought the Plantin cartridge to play with from Customcrops in th US - hey are very good to deal with and their prices are good too. They have some videos on their site too with some good demos.

I''m thinking of getting the Storybook cartridge next.

Another challenge for this year is to try and make this blog more intersting so if anyone out there has any tips they can give they will be most welcome.
