SAY NO TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING

WOW! woo hoo!

What a great suprise - I entered challenges this week for the first time and OMG I was placed in the top 3 on the Sweet Stamping Challenge  - I am so excited as they have asked 3 to be on their DT - can't wait to hear what is expected.

3rd challenge of the weekend

This is for the fantabulous cricut challenge - to use a cartridge you have neglected. Well I haven't used the Indie Art cartridge for about a year so thought I'd have a go. I couldn't get the words to the right size so used the Black letter for the lettering and paper from a collection I bought from costco nearly 2yrs ago and had never touched!! Iremember thinking I would use it straight away - I should have known better. I had to use a flash for the photo and it has bleached out the background paper a bit.

for Tiffany Doodles Challenge

Well as weather is grey and dull thought I'd try another challenge:
I have used:
  • Vintage Coordinations card
  • Kay & Co paper
  • odd bit of ribbon
  • nesties
  • kanban stamps
  • promarkers
  • sakura glaze pen
Going in for challenges is certainly a good way of using stash!

new experience for me

I am entering my first challenge today with this card on the Sweet Stamping Challenge blog so here goes - I must say it has taken me longer than I thought to make the card but that is because my stash is not organised but a bit chaotic so takes a while to hunt down matching bits and bobs! Sorry forgot to add what I used:

K & Co paper
pearlescent cream card
pearlescent pink card
fiskars threading water punch
cream organza ribbon
card candy
promarkers
swiss dots cuttlebug folder
tattered rose distress ink
cocoa memento ink
Katy Sue stamp

Two more!

I have grown to like the Hello Kitty image after using this Bigz Embosslit as it is really cute and the nice thing is the kitty and the frame can be used independantly of each other which makes it very versatile.

using my new sissix embossing folders

I have received a selection of sissix embossing folders  from their mega sale post xmas 2010. After spending a while just looking at them I finally got busy with some of them and here are the results. These two are made for my nieces and their families for my xmas gifts - I have used distressed co- ordinations card.

nice and not so nice suprise in the post!

Had ordered a two sissix dies, ranger sticky back canvas and 100 sheets of bazill from qvc craft day 22-1-2011  and today my parcels were delivered by the courier - hurrah! Opened them up and the dies were great  as was the the bazill BUT no sticky back plastic but grungeboard instead. Normally I'd have loved a Tim Holtz product but was so looking forward to getting the canvas as I had plans for it. Anyway phoned qvc customer service and the guy was v apologetic but sadly no more canvas left in stock and I can only send back the wrong package - I was not a happy bunny - still not much I could do! So just ate some chocolate.

getting inspired

Happy New Year - Have just received my order from the sissix mega sale - great savings and some inspiring folders. Can't wait to have a play and will upload some cards by the end of the week - the one purchase I have never regretted is my sissix big shot as it is so versatile and soooo sturdy =  I really love using it.
I love this time of year for shopping as there is always lots of bargains to choose from. Hope others got some great buys

Happy New Year

Well 2011 is here and let's hope it wil be a good year for everyone. I am hoping to make more use of my blog as I have a new laptop from Santa which doesn't keep crashing unlike my old pc.
Thank heavens the snow is now nearly gone although some ice is still hanging around the roads.
