a bit of fluff for valentines day

Hi bloggers
I tried a couple of options before I chose my LiM entry for this week because inerror I had put 2 cards through the embossing folder at once which I found out after which does show the quality of the sissix impression..This morning I decided to finish the other card.
Once again I used the sissix embossing folder, but then used a mover and shapers heart also from sissix
I then used the cut out heart from the joy frame I used on the LiM card to put inside the card to show throw the heart cut out. I decorated the embossed hearts and dotted the "i" with pearl gems from docrafts and finsihed it off with white organza ribbon dyed using the red ink pad used for the sentiment and found a red feather and pearl pin. I think I prefer this because I could be more decorative than I feel I should be with my LiM entries.

Inspired by Eileen Hull

front on

Hi again

brad fixers

This is my take on Eileen Hull's sissix die  - ruffled cupcake. This is a great die and I have made it as a present for my friend Elsie and have put a piece of jewellery under the crumpled tissue paper "icing". I am sure I will use this die quite a lot. I cut it out of mountboard and stamped with a small peg stamp flower using chalk ink. I joined the edges using flower design brads and lined and topped the gift with red crumpled tissue and topped it off with a handmade flower, I have taken 3 pix to show the different parts.

using my new sissix embossing folders

I have received a selection of sissix embossing folders  from their mega sale post xmas 2010. After spending a while just looking at them I finally got busy with some of them and here are the results. These two are made for my nieces and their families for my xmas gifts - I have used distressed co- ordinations card.
