2nd post - LiM reject!

Hi fellow bloggers
this is my original idea for the LiM challenge this week but then decided against it as I had stuck the scalloped border in the wrong place. Anyway thankyou cards are always useful so no worries. This time the scallop has a strip of contrast underneath and twine round it. The sentiment is also spelt out with twine as it was a better match than my ribbon - done at a jaunty angle as lining up was tricky as the twine is very springy. Envelope lined with matching paper. Well  off back to my "organising".

hi fellow bloggers - a bit late with this as I have been trying to organise my crafting chaos! - making some inroads but not naturally organised Lol! I have included quilling in this one as I do like the look of it and the cuttlebug quilling die is fab - I adhered the quilled flowers to a white flower from a mixed pack. No stamping this week as have used one of my sizzix embossing folders for the sentiment. The border is a martha stewart border punch and the mat is a nesties scalloped circle the embossed lines have been done with my scor it.  I have to do 3 thankyou cards this week as my birthday is tomorrow and getting prepared.

another quilling card

Hi again fellow bloggers - I have tried my cuttlebug quilling die again - this time with metallic vellum. This was beause I am in love with the galaxy gold ink pad just now and have used that to make a backgound and also to higlight the embossed topper. The other dies used are leaves and stem from a sizzix border and a label die from spellbinders. I found some matching ribbon and inked the card edges to match. The sentiment is an Anna Griffin stamp.

happy weekend fellow bloggers - well the sun of yesterday is off again and we are back to grey and windy - so housework and crafting well at least one is enjoyable. The LiM challenge this week is to incorporate sewing so as I don't like using card in my machine I have gone for the faux approach.
I have used: -
  1. nitwit stamps for the image and the sentiment
  2. memento inkpad
  3. distress ink pad
  4. promarkers
  5. silver pen for the needle
  6. button and thread
  7. spellbinders wonky rectangles - I love these as they are so useful

Enchanted fairies xmas card.

Hi again - posting no2 for today. I bought these papermania enchanted fairy stamps a little while ago to have something different for christmas cards but not sure about them yet. I have used the largest one for this card and used promarkers to colour in the image. The berry pieces have been glittered except for the hat where I have used red gems.I have used both red and green mirror card from C&C to mat the image onto and used the same green mirror card for the spellbinders holly border and the sentiment mat. The holly border has glittered berries added and the sentiment is a peeloff with red organza ribbon bows as faux fasteners. I do love the holly borders - the holly accents set is very versatile.

Hi fellow bloggers - hope you are enjoying your weekend. The LiM challenge this week is one layer - 3 colours. I have used an orphan stamp of 3 hearts with a floral insert and a small peg sentiment stamp. The inks are Colourbox petal point pigment inks - these are really good value as you get a good themed colour range in each set. I used clear embossing powder and one of my Joy dies from Creata to emboss a heart frame around the stamped images. used a fiskars heart corner punch and edged the card with the mid tone colour and embossed it.

Sweet Stampin Challenge

Hi fellow bloggers I have made this to enter for the above challenge this week which is asking us to make a card using paper piecing.

I have used:
2 anitas stamps I have had for ages and this is the first time I have used the ballons one and hoping that Andy Murray wins today thought the Let's Celebrate from See D's was a good one to use. One stamp has been used as a watermark on the red mat and the balloons one is the  main image.
Strong colours for the balloons and highlighted with a sakura metallic gold gel pen.
Two of the balloon colours to mat and layer and edged the white card with a yellow promarker. The dies I have used this time are the reverse wonky rectangles by spellbinders

Creations by Gill challenge using Creata dies

Hi fellow crafters - the weather is still rubbish so plenty of crafting time!

This is another christmas card using creata snowflake and circle dies to cut
the aperture and the snowflake elements. The embossing on the snowflake is so crisp. As the challenge requires the use of acetate I have put that in the aperture in 2 layers with a dusting of fine glitter encompassed. The same glitter is sprinkled on some of the snowflakes. The card is edged with a promarker and the inside element is a snowman topper by DCWV.

first attempt at quilling - [edited sentiment]

2nd post today as I have tried out quilling for the first time. I have cheated a bit as I have used a cuttlebug quilling die to cut the elements for the chrysanthemum.  I have used the die + martha stewart punch for the easel stopper and a shapeabilites ribbon buckle layered on top. I have recycled one of the elements as the backing for the quilled flowers is a piece of packaging from an embellishment pack, cut with a labels die, as  think it goes well with the bazill colours I have used for the flowers. I can see the quilling die getting used quite a bit from now! The sentiment has been changed as I thought on looking at it that the black was too harsh

Hi fellow bloggers
Another day of rain and crafting so not so bad! The LiM challenge this week is another colour theme - Gold so thought to go for another xmas card. The santa stamp is fab and is one I've had for ages as it reminds me of a "real" father christmas unfortunately my photography doesn't show it off to it's best - sorry!
I used the stamp and embossed with antique gold embossing powder. cut a frame from nestabilities label die and added a peel off sentiment. Also added crystal gems to the snowflaes around santas beard

early valentine!!

Hi fellow bloggers - another wet Monday sadly - when will the sun come back?
Anyway as the craft programmes keep bringing christmas crafting shows earlier and earlier I thought I'd leap ahead to valentines Lol! This was originally going to be my LiM entry minus the ribbon and with a smaller mat but changed my mind and went for a slightly less CAS. The heart with the text is raised up on pads after having the ribbon attached -I think this would look nice with lace too.

I have used:
  • a large script stamp
  • black memento ink
  • black handmade paper
  • white organza ribbon
  • 2 free stamps from craft stamper [The text one is just part of a larger stamp
  • distress ink pad by ranger
  • creata heart dies
